A fearsome threat and apprehension due to Koshi in Bihar

Bihar and its residents are once again under fearsome threat due to blockage of koshi river upside area of Nepal which resulted into formation of an artificial lake containing more han 30 lakh cussec water which is enough to create havoc in various parts of Bihar. Although this situation could not be completely forseen and avoided at this stage exept displacing people from their home to safe places and be ready to face post damage rescue and relief perations. here it is pertinent to mention that administration of last 50 years miserably failed to find any permanant solution of sorrow of Bihar i.e. Koshi...Nation has witnessed koshi flood in 2008 in Bihar but we took no lession and again at same stage where we have hardly much to do than to wait for flood and ready for worst . Koshi and its flood is not a recent phenomena in Bihar but it has always been worst dream for Bihar and the same was reported by BBC once admitting the highest probability of danger due to koshi to Bihar but even after four decades neither center nor state have been serious enough to  try and find a solution and even no serious doalog was initiated with Nepal in this regard. Although koshi is equally a problem for Nepal as well as Bihar.

Few years back Indian Prime Minister Mr. A.B. Bajpeyee came with wonderful plan to connect rivers all across India to solve problem of Flood and Drought but it was not processed by his successors and result is Bihar is once again at the mercy of God. At present no body knows intensity flood resulting damage which is mostlly affected in nine Districts of Bihar i.e. Supaul, Purnia, Madhepura, Khagaria, Bhagalpur,Darbhanga, saharsa, Araria and Madhubani. Currently every one is worried and apprehended about the situation but can't access its gravity. We may have experts or rescue team working day and night in order to minimize the damage but everything in inside heart of Koshi that how she will react when set free with more than 30 lakh cussec water as Koshi is known to change it path like what hapened in 2008.

Currently administration is going step by step but nobody knows what would be the magnitute of strength and force of river. By the time I post this blog, many of places might be affected due to flood. But one thing is sure that administration forget these phenomenon quicker than people affected. No body really try to understand the sorrow of displaced people who have to leave everything and have to live is camp. Fate of People of Bihar is once again in hands of God and politicians very soon shall be engaged in blame-game politics, concern officials will engage in shifting burden and passing of files but nobody think of actual problem to solve the same from the very root. Till the time People of Bihar are left as per mercy of KOSHI and has no other option than to pray. I pray that the leader of Government shall think of permanant slution of  regular threat and damage due to Koshi.
